As part of our interior design project at Bethesda Butler Hospital Expansion we were asked to layout and select all the furniture. Ann proposed a custom lectern for the Chapel after a fruitless search for an appropriate manufactured lectern.
The double curving base is reminiscent of the curved patterns that are found throughout the project in ceiling and flooring patterns.
Julie's brother, John Carson, of Carson's Lumber Mill in Sunman, Indiana, supplied the wood. John collaborates with a wonderful carpenter, Jerry Gibson, whose studio is in West Harrison, Indiana. He created 2 of these lecterns, liking our design so much, he hopes to sell them to others.
