SELECT PROJECTS
Inpatient Expansion - Bethesda Butler Hospital, Middletown, Ohio
- An existing medical campus composed mainly of outpatient services and newly added emergency department desired to expand services and add (32) inpatient beds and an ICU. A theme to connect the existing facility to the addition consisted of a pathway with sweeping curves to guide the visitors through the facility and blending existing finishes with supplemental new finishes.
- London Computer Systems had outgrown its existing headquarters and desired to consolidate it’s two locations. They held a design competition to select the design team. W5 DESIGN teamed with two local architecture firms to win the project. Ann performed interior architecture and interior design and FF&E package for the entire facility.
The site is adjacent to a major interstate and the Client desired an iconic building both exterior and interior. An organic industrial aesthetic creates the modern, inviting and inspirational working environment desired by the Owner. Ann worked closely with the entire design team including the construction manager, carefully monitoring the interiors budget during all phases to ensure the project stayed on budget.
- VAMC has an increasing veteran population needing oncology care. As a very collaborative specialty, it made sense to consolidate services for the patients and the team caring for them to optimize care delivery. This new space allows for 15 Exam Rooms (all capable of TeleHealth), 2 Private Infusion Rooms, 14 Infusion Bays, a Pharmacy Chemo Prep Area, and a multitude of support spaces allowing this population to have all of their related services in one area.
